1907-1908 Construction of St. Leonard's Church in Port-Maurice. Located on Jarry street, near Lacordaire.
1915 St. Leonard-de-Port-Maurice becomes a Municipality.
1956 Construction of the housing cooperative begins. This is the beginning of a period of urban planning and housing boom, marked by the elaboration of a first urban plan. This period coincides with the beginning of the massive arrival of neo-Canadian immigrants of Italian origin.
1962 Saint-Léonard-de-Port-Maurice becomes the city of Saint-Léonard.
1966 The construction of the metropolitan highway cuts the territory in two but gives it better access to the rest of the metropolis.
